The stud is managed by Marc Violette. Haras de la Louviere has been in the Goulandris family since 1968 when the late Constantin Goulandris acquired the original 66 hectare stud in the heart of the Departement de l’Orne from leading Argentinian breeder Jorge de Atucha. Since that time it has grown to its present size.
Haras de La Louviere has been one of the leading consignors at the Arqana Yearling Sales in France now for over 10 years. Gr. 1 winners sold by the stud at Arqana include, Helissio, Salute, Highest Honor, Le Glorieux, Shaka, Lawman and Silver Frost.
